FORT CAVAZOS, Texas — III Armored Corps and Fort Cavazos confirm that the command’s Emergency Family Action Center at Fort Cavazos, Texas, is established and operational. The center is staffed with experts who will assist personnel affected by a recent fire in Killeen, Texas, that damaged and destroyed a number of warehoused household goods shipments belonging to military members and their families.
Several people have already been assisted. Support is ongoing.
Notifications remain in progress. Personnel will be notified directly if their household goods have been affected and provided information for next steps.
III Armored Corps and Fort Cavazos officials remain in close coordination with the Department of Defense’s United States Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM), which administers the Personal Property Program.
