FORT HOOD (Now designated Fort Cavazos), Texas – Baylor men’s basketball head coach Scott Drew will meet with media at 9:30 a.m. Dec. 10 at Fort Hood (Now designated Fort Cavazos)’s Bronco Youth Center. Drew will preview the Dec. 17 game between Baylor and Jackson State that will be played at Abrams Physical Fitness Center here.
Following the press conference, Drew and members of his coaching staff will conduct a youth basketball skills clinic to children 6th grade and below of military families beginning at 10 a.m. in the youth center. Registration for this event has already been completed.
The No. 4-ranked Bears will face Jackson State at 5 p.m. Dec. 17 in the first-ever matchup of Division I college basketball programs played at Fort Hood (Now designated Fort Cavazos). The game will be televised on Fox Sports Southwest-Plus. Baylor previously played the first college basketball game on post when they faced Division III Hardin-Simmons last season on Dec. 16, 2015, a game the Bears won 104-59.
Media seeking credentials for the Dec. 10 Baylor and Fort Hood (Now designated Fort Cavazos) press conference should register no later than 4 p.m. Dec. 9. On Dec. 10, media will meet Fort Hood (Now designated Fort Cavazos) public affairs representatives at the south side parking lot of the Fort Hood (Now designated Fort Cavazos) visitors’ center at 9 a.m. for escort to Fort Hood (Now designated Fort Cavazos)’s Bronco Youth Center.
