FORT CAVAZOS, Texas – Fort Cavazos’ Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare, and Recreation will host their semi-annual Howdy Y’all from 10 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. May 9 at the Lone Star Conference Center.

Newcomers will receive valuable information about the installation and gain more insight about the Central Texas military community with numerous vendors representing opportunities and activities around The Great Place. Schools, businesses, on- and off-post agencies and DFMWR programs will be showcased. Giveaways will be distributed throughout the event.

The event is open to all Soldiers, spouses and civilians. Non DoD ID-card holders must obtain a pass from the Marvin Leath Visitor’s Center prior to coming on post.

Media who wish to cover the event should call 254-449-5298 no later than 3 p.m. May 8. On May 9, media will meet a public affairs representative at 9:30 a.m. in the south-side parking lot of the Marvin Leath Visitor’s Center for an escort to the location.
