FORT CAVAZOS, Texas – Emergency response officials at Fort Cavazos will conduct their annual full-scale exercise from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 6-7 at various locations on post, including near Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center.
The exercise will involve installation first responders working alongside local law enforcement, fire departments and hospitals to rehearse response and recovery operations in a real-world disaster scenario.
Traffic disruptions are expected to be minimal, though short delays may occur near exercise sites due to traffic control measures.
Exercise activities will include emergency response vehicles and personnel, as well as visual and audio effects.
In the event of a real emergency, all exercise activity will stop and emergency personnel will respond accordingly.
