For Immediate Release
FORT CAVAZOS, Texas – Today is the deadline for beneficiaries who have TRICARE Young Adult, TRICARE Reserve Select, and TRICARE Retired Reserve, to set up new payment information and pay by EFT, credit card, or debit card to TriWest Healthcare Alliance, the new DoD contractor for medical services off-installation in the western region of the U.S.
TRICARE Prime or TRICARE Select enrollees who pay by EFT, credit card, or debit card, have until Jan. 30 to update payment information. If you don’t take action, you risk getting disenrolled.
Six states transitioned from HUMANA Military and moved to TRICARE’s West Region, Jan. 1. The western region contract is now managed by TriWest Healthcare Alliance.
It’s recommended that beneficiaries take the following actions:
- Verify your health plan enrollment. Go to TriWest’s website, https://tricare-bene.triwest.com/, (create an account if needed) under “My Dashboard.” Alternatively, go to MilConnect, https://milconnect.dmdc.osd.mil/milconnect/, on Beneficiary Web Enrollment page, under “Manage health benefits.”
- Update your payment information and personal details in DEERS through the Beneficiary Web Enrollment page in MilConnect.
If you encounter enrollment issues, contact TriWest at 888-874-9379. Please note that due to high call volumes, wait times may be longer than usual.
TriWest is actively processing all existing referrals. All unexpired referrals and pre-authorizations from the previous contractor (Health Net Federal Services or Humana) that were issued before Jan. 1, 2025, will be honored by TriWest and will be valid through their expiration or June 30, 2025, whichever comes first. You can check your referral status or get assistance by visiting TriWest online or calling 888-874-9378.
