FORT HOOD (Now designated Fort Cavazos), Texas — Bell County Water Control and Improvement District 1 officials requested May 7 that many Central Texas communities reduce their water usage by 50% immediately, including U.S. Army Garrison Fort Hood (Now designated Fort Cavazos) and neighboring communities while their crews repair a 48″ water line that broke.
Residents are asked to do their part to conserve water for the next 36 hours. This impacts many communities serviced by Bell County WCID No. 1, including U.S. Army Garrison Fort Hood (Now designated Fort Cavazos), City of Copperas Cove, City of Killeen, Nolanville and Belton, Texas.
Additionally, Fort Hood (Now designated Fort Cavazos) officials see no reason to boil water at this time.
