FORT HOOD (Now designated Fort Cavazos), Texas – Due to ongoing firefighting efforts on the Fort Hood (Now designated Fort Cavazos) range, Fort Hood (Now designated Fort Cavazos) officials have suspended live-fire gunnery exercises for all munitions until further notice.

This training pause enables maximum flexibility to safely conduct ongoing air and ground firefighting operations.

Currently, the fire poses no immediate risk of leaving the installation boundary, nor does it pose an immediate threat to life or property.
