FORT HOOD (Now designated Fort Cavazos), Texas — This week, about 600 3d Cavalry Regiment Troopers will return to Fort Hood (Now designated Fort Cavazos) after completing their
Cadet Summer Training support mission at Fort Knox, Kentucky.
Troopers from 3d Squadron, 3d Cavalry Regiment will return on Wednesday, Aug. 25, and Sunday, Aug. 29.
Cadet Summer Training is the Army’s largest summer training event of the year, with approximately 10,000 cadets cycling through in the 100-day training window.
A ceremony will be held on a field in the 3d Cavalry Regiment area between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. on Aug. 25.
A separate media advisory will be published 72 hours prior to the Aug. 29 ceremony.
