FORT HOOD (Now designated Fort Cavazos), Texas— The 3rd Cavalry Regiment is scheduled to hold a wreath-laying ceremony at 10 a.m. May 18 at the 3rd Cav. Regt. Memorial, and a birthday celebration at 2 p.m. May 19 on Cameron Field.

The Regiment of Mounted Riflemen will be conducting a wreath-laying ceremony at the Regimental Memorial to honor fallen Troopers of the regiment.

3rd Cavalry Regiment will also be celebrating its 172nd birthday on May 19. Guests can enjoy free food, a kids “spur ride,” games, tour the museum, and much more.
