FORT HOOD (Now designated Fort Cavazos), Texas – Brig. Gen. Ronald R. Ragin, Commanding General of the 13th Expeditionary Sustainment Command, will host the Change-of-Command ceremony for the 1st Medical Brigade on Jan. 14 at 10:00 a.m. on Cameron Field. After two years in command, Col. Robert F. Howe, will hand over the reins of the brigade to incoming Commander, Col. Roger S. Giraud.
Under Howe’s command, the 1st Med. Bde. has been instrumental in the COVID-19 medical response in San Antonio, New York, and the Southwest United States region, while continuing to deploy globally providing medical service and support during missions and training exercises.
