MEDIA ADVISORY – 1st Cav. Div. to conduct Spirit of the Cav ceremony

FORT HOOD (Now designated Fort Cavazos), Texas – As part of Cav Week 2019, Central Texas media are invited to attend the Spirit of the Cav Ceremony scheduled for tomorrow, June 7, at 3 p.m. on Cooper Field here.

The ceremony will honor 1st Cavalry Division Troopers contribution to our nation through the years from the division’s birth in 1921 to today.

Different uniforms from each war era will be featured, as well as a cavalry charge featuring the 1st Cavalry Division Horse Cavalry Detachment and air craft from the 1st Air Cavalry Brigade.

Attending media will meet their media escort at the Fort Hood (Now designated Fort Cavazos) Visitors Center media parking area tomorrow no later than 2 p.m.
