FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

FORT HOOD (Now designated Fort Cavazos), Texas — A 1st Infantry Division UH-60M aircraft crew conducting medical evacuation hoist training at approximately 10:30 p.m. Sept. 12 resulted in a fatality on the Fort Hood (Now designated Fort Cavazos) range south of Robert Gray Army Airfield. The training incident involved Soldiers from 1st Infantry Division, Fort Riley, Kansas.

More information will be released as it becomes available. The name of the deceased will not be released until 24 hours after all next of kin have been notified.
