FORT HOOD (Now designated Fort Cavazos), Texas – III Corps will host a change of responsibility ceremony at 9 a.m. July 6 at the III Corps Headquarters flagpole.
Command Sgt. Maj. Alonzo J. Smith will relinquish his responsibilities as III Corps command sergeant major to Command Sgt. Maj. Michael A. Crosby.
Smith began as III Corps command sergeant major in August 2014.
Crosby comes to Fort Hood (Now designated Fort Cavazos) after serving as senior enlisted leader for the 4th Infantry Division and Fort Carson, Colorado.
A combat veteran, he served previously at Fort Hood (Now designated Fort Cavazos) as brigade command sergeant major for 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division.
