FORT CAVAZOS, Texas – III Armored Corps will host a change of responsibility ceremony at 9 a.m. June 15 at the III Armored Corps Headquarters flagpole.
Command Sgt. Maj. Arthur “Cliff” Burgoyne Jr. will relinquish his responsibilities as III Armored Corps command sergeant major to Command Sgt. Maj. John P. McDwyer.
Burgoyne began as III Armored Corps command sergeant major in July 2020.
McDwyer comes to III Armored Corps after serving as senior enlisted leader for Division West, Fort Cavazos, Texas.
A combat veteran, he served previously as Sergeant Major of the Combined Arms Center- Training (CAC-T), Commandant of the NCO Academy in Hawaii, and as Brigade Sergeant Major OC/T at the National Training Center, Fort Irwin, California.
