FORT HOOD (Now designated Fort Cavazos), TX — World-famous actor and avid supporter of troops, Gary Sinise and the Lt. Dan Band, will be performing today at the Fort Hood (Now designated Fort Cavazos) Salutes celebration from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Hood Stadium here. The event is free and open to the public.

The event coincides with the recent redeployment of the 1st Cavalry Division headquarters from Afghanistan and the upcoming 75th anniversary of the formation of Fort Hood (Now designated Fort Cavazos).

Sinise will be available for media interviews at 3 p.m. Media wishing to conduct interviews should meet at the Fort Hood (Now designated Fort Cavazos) Visitors Center no later than 2:30 p.m. Coverage of the actual celebration will begin at 5 p.m.
