FORT HOOD (Now designated Fort Cavazos), Texas – Fort Hood (Now designated Fort Cavazos) will celebrate Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month at 1:30 p.m. May 18 at Fort Hood (Now designated Fort Cavazos)’s Community Events Center here.
The heritage month event recognizes the achievements and contributions of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders that enrich our Nation. This year’s event will feature Tahitian and Hawaiian dancers and a lifetime of perspective from guest speaker Command Sgt. Maj. Patrick K. Acuna Jr., a native Hawaiian and senior enlisted leader with 32 years of military experience. He recently served as the Command Sergeant Major for Task Force Phantom, and for the First Army Division West.
