FORT HOOD (Now designated Fort Cavazos), Texas — Fort Hood (Now designated Fort Cavazos) will host a media event 10:30 a.m. Aug. 14 to announce that Fort Hood (Now designated Fort Cavazos) is conducting a limited user test for Soldiers to earn civilian professional credentials and certifications here.
Leaders attending the media availability include the Under Secretary of the Army Ryan D. McCarthy, Sgt. Maj. of the Army Daniel A. Dailey, U.S. Rep. John R. Carter, 31st Congressional District, leaders from Fort Hood (Now designated Fort Cavazos) and education services professionals.
Immediately following the media availability, select leaders will discuss the importance of the program and the benefits it will provide Soldiers, their Families, the Army, industry partners and American employers at a press conference in the Fort Hood (Now designated Fort Cavazos) Education Center.
Senior leaders will also answer questions from the media at that time. Program education experts as well as Soldiers will be available for media interviews after the press conference.

A Fort Hood (Now designated Fort Cavazos) public affairs official will meet members of the media at the south-side parking lot across from the Marvin Leath Visitors Welcome Center at 9:45 a.m. CDT on Aug. 14.
