FORT HOOD (Now designated Fort Cavazos), Texas — A Fort Hood (Now designated Fort Cavazos) Soldier was the grand-prize winner of the MILTARY STAR® sixth annual “Your Holiday Bill Is on Us” Sweepstakes and will have his entire MILITARY STAR card balance paid in full as a grand-prize winner.
Pvt. Miguel Maldonado, military police, 64th Military Police Company, entered the sweepstakes during the 2019 holiday shopping season. He was selected from millions of the Army & Air Force Exchange Service patrons who entered the sweepstakes worldwide.
“Because his bill did not meet the $2,500 grand prize minimum, he will be awarded a statement credit in the amount of the difference,” Daniel Wise, Fort Hood (Now designated Fort Cavazos) Exchange general manager, said.
A presentation ceremony will be held to deliver the check to Maldonado at 11 a.m. Feb. 28 in the Fort Hood (Now designated Fort Cavazos) Clear Creek Exchange, Bldg. 4250, Clear Creek Blvd., here.
The MILITARY STAR card, administered by AAFES, is an exclusive line of credit for service members and their families to use at the commissary and military exchanges, no matter where military members serve. The card allows service members to build credit responsibly. With this sweepstakes, AAFES celebrates Maldonado’s service to our Nation.
Media interested in attending the presentation should R.S.V.P. to Trey Williams at (254) 289-5967 or williamstreyt@aafes.com for instructions on gaining access to the installation.
