FORT HOOD (Now designated Fort Cavazos), Texas — The grand opening of the Fort Hood (Now designated Fort Cavazos) Tax Center is set for 10 a.m. Jan. 22 in Bldg. 13, on 52nd Street between Support Avenue and 761st Tank Battalion Avenue, adjacent to the III Corps and Fort Hood (Now designated Fort Cavazos) Headquarters. The center is open to all military identification card holders.

Last year, the tax center completed 6,065 federal returns and 374 state returns, resulting in refunds of $11,474,497 and saving clients tax preparation fees in the amount of $1,012,326.

The hours of operation will be 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. On Thursdays, the tax center is open until 7 p.m. Assistance with both state and federal income tax returns is provided. To schedule an appointment, call (254) 287-3294.
