FORT HOOD (Now designated Fort Cavazos), Texas — The Fort Hood (Now designated Fort Cavazos) Natural Resources Management Branch will continue controlled burning today on the southwest side of the Fort Hood (Now designated Fort Cavazos) range.

Large amounts of smoke will be visible in the local areas near the west side of the post.

The burns are designed to clear out underbrush to make the post ranges safer.
