FORT HOOD (Now designated Fort Cavazos), Texas — Fort Hood (Now designated Fort Cavazos) officials have directed mission essential personnel only will report to work through Feb. 19 due to continuing challenges of safe travel on hazardous roads.
The Meadows Child Development Center will be open for use by mission essential personnel only for Feb. 18-19.
Contracted employees should coordinate with their supervisors for determination of work status.
A warming center has been established on Fort Hood (Now designated Fort Cavazos) for Soldiers and their families that live on or off post as well as any Department of the Army civilians and their families.
The Community Event Center (Bldg. 50012) is opened 24-hours-a-day with snacks, drinks, and family-friendly entertainment provided by the Red Cross, USO and Directorate of Family, Morale, Welfare and Recreation as well as being a warm place to charge laptops and cell phones.
