FORT HOOD (Now designated Fort Cavazos), Texas – The Directorate of Family, Morale, Welfare and Recreation along with the Round Rock Foundation will host a free Phantom Honors Golf Tournament 12:15 p.m. May 17 honoring all our Soldiers, past and present.
Kicking off the Phantom Honors Golf Tournament, Fort Hood (Now designated Fort Cavazos) officials will be speak on the importance of resiliency at 11:15 a.m. at Fort Hood (Now designated Fort Cavazos)’s The Courses of Clear Creek, Bldg. 52381, located off Battalion Avenue at Clear Creek Road.
Additionally, the Stand Up and Play Foundation and Celebration of Love will be presenting two paragolfer machines to Fort Hood (Now designated Fort Cavazos). These machines are designed to assist disabled individuals who are unable to stand or walk to
participate in golf and other sporting activities. The paragolfers will be for public use at no cost. There will be a demonstration of how the machines can be used at the driving range at 12:30 p.m.
This event is open to the public and all disabled veterans and DoD identification card holders are encouraged to attend.
