FORT HOOD (Now designated Fort Cavazos), Texas — The Directorate of Family, Morale, Welfare and Recreation along with the Ben Hogan Foundation, the Miles Foundation and the Air Power Foundation will host a Ben Hogan Classic Golf Tournament 10 a.m. April 26 at Fort Hood (Now designated Fort Cavazos)’s The Courses of Clear Creek, Bldg. 52381, located off Battalion Avenue at Clear Creek Road.
Two-hundred Soldiers are registered to play in the tournament. Check-In for players is 8:30 – 9:30 a.m. and a Shotgun Start for the 4-Person Scramble begins at 10 a.m.
The tournament includes breakfast and lunch with tee packets, prizes and drawings. Players also have an opportunity for lessons with a PGA Tour professional.
Additionally, the Ben Hogan Foundation and the Fort Worth First Tee organization will also host a free youth clinic on April 27. The event is open to all DoD ID card holder's youth to attend.
Ages 7-10 is from 9 a.m. to noon and ages 11-17 is from 1- 4 p.m. which also includes lunch, t-shirts and tee packages.
