FORT HOOD (Now designated Fort Cavazos), Texas – Fort Hood (Now designated Fort Cavazos) Family Housing along with Fort Hood (Now designated Fort Cavazos) Directorate of Emergency Services will host its annual National Night Out (NNO) Celebration from 6-9 p.m. Oct. 1 at Sadowski Field.
This nationwide celebration is geared toward heightening crime prevention awareness and strengthening neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships. The event is open to everyone who lives on Fort Hood (Now designated Fort Cavazos), including those living in the barracks.
At NNO 2019, service members and families will experience an “Against Crime: From the Past to the Future” themed event that will include a giant slide, zip line, free food provided by the United Service Organizations and the Defense Commissary Service, train rides in the west, tea cup rides through the 50’s, a police vehicle display, K-9 demonstrations and future-themed fun with a bungee jump and zip line.
Joining Fort Hood (Now designated Fort Cavazos) Family Housing in our effort to take a stand against crime will be Fort Hood (Now designated Fort Cavazos) Police, 89th MP BDE, Fire Department, MWR Family Advocacy Program, the Exchange, the USO, and our Fort Hood (Now designated Fort Cavazos) partners.
