FORT HOOD (Now designated Fort Cavazos), Texas — The Fort Hood (Now designated Fort Cavazos) Senior Commander has authorized the continued closure of Fort Hood (Now designated Fort Cavazos) with only mission essential personnel reporting to work on Feb. 4 here due to continued freezing conditions and hazardous road conditions.
Fort Hood (Now designated Fort Cavazos) leadership will continue to monitor weather conditions and will make a decision mid-day Feb 4 on re-opening the post Feb. 5.
The Clear Creek (Main) Exchange, Clear Creek Commissary and Warrior Way Commissary will remain closed.

Killeen ISD cancelled all classes on Fort Hood (Now designated Fort Cavazos) for Feb. 4. Soldiers and their families should check with their school districts for possible school closings in their area.

FORT HOOD (Now designated Fort Cavazos), Texas – The Fort Hood (Now designated Fort Cavazos) Senior Commander has authorized the closure of Fort Hood (Now designated Fort Cavazos) with only mission essential personnel reporting to work on Feb. 3 here due to forecasted extremely cold temperatures, freezing precipitation, and hazardous road conditions.

Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center officials announced that all beneficiary appointments for Feb. 3 will be rescheduled or shifted to virtual health appointments. This will include clinics, surgeries, administration, and ancillary services.
