FORT CAVAZOS, Texas – Fort Cavazos is set to unveil its latest dining facility concept at the Action Station Unveiling Ceremony at 11 a.m. Oct. 9 at the Operation Iraqi Freedom Dining Facility.
The new Headquarters Department of the Army Go for Green Action Station implementation will debut, introducing cuisine-style feeding with a modernized approach.
The action station concept is a modernized approach to feeding Soldiers and employees of Fort Cavazos, aiming to reduce waiting times at entry registers, allowing patrons the opportunity to sufficiently review food items prior to selecting the item.
The action station concept includes updated menu items that are suited to Soldier meal preferences, as shown in the six unique dining stations to be unveiled at the dining facility.
The six stations that will serve healthy and innovative meal recipes will be: Warrior’s Grill, Warrior’s Choice, Warrior’s Deli, Warrior’s Pizzeria & Pasta, Warrior’s Burgers and Warrior’s Tex-Mex.
Soldiers and eligible attendants are encouraged to attend the unveiling ceremony and see the action station concept firsthand; menu themes can be viewed in the attached flyer.
Media wishing to attend the event should RSVP by phone at 254-291-2317 by 3 p.m. Oct. 8.
On Oct. 9, media should meet public affairs representatives at 10:30 a.m. at the south side parking lot of the Marvin Leath Visitors Center for an escort to the event.
