FORT CAVAZOS, Texas — The Fort Cavazos Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new Abrams Outdoor Fitness Park at 3 p.m. May 16. The event will take place behind Abrams Physical Fitness Center on 58th Street.
The park, funded by Installation Management Command at a cost of $2 million, is the first of its kind in the Army. Designed to support family-friendly fitness, it includes five distinct areas, such as a group fitness space, a multi-use court and a playground for children to enjoy while adults work out.
