FORT CAVAZOS, Texas – Fort Cavazos will host its annual CG Best Thanksgiving Warrior Restaurant Competition 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Nov. 26 at five of its dining facilities.
Lt. Gen. Kevin Admiral, Fort Cavazos and III Armored Corps commanding general, along with senior leaders will judge the traditional Thanksgiving meal to recognize dining facilities for their outstanding performance in support of the traditional holiday meal.
To promote esprit de corps with Soldiers, family members and guests, the staffs at Blackjack Warrior Restaurant, Always Ready Warrior Restaurant, Operation Iraqi Freedom Warrior Restaurant, Theodore Roosevelt Warrior Restaurant, and the North Fort Cavazos Warrior Restaurant will compete for the bragging rights across the installation. The dining facilities will be judged on display and dining area appearance, food service operations and food service personnel.
Additionally, civilians, families and retirees are invited to purchase a Thanksgiving meal for $11.40, family members of Soldiers who are in the rank of specialist and below may purchase a Thanksgiving meal for $8.45, and all meal card holders may eat a Thanksgiving meal for free at any of the participating dining facilities Nov. 26.
