FORT CAVAZOS, Texas – The Fort Cavazos Senior Commander has authorized the cancellation of physical training in the morning and delayed reporting Jan. 21 due to inclement weather in the morning. Temperatures are expected to warm above freezing in the afternoon.

Department of the Army Civilians are directed to report to work at 9 a.m., while Soldiers and Airmen are to report at 10 a.m. Contractors should contact their supervisors for guidance.

Fort Cavazos Child and Youth Services childcare programs and fitness centers will open at 8 a.m. The Warrior Way Fitness Center remains open 24/7.

Fort Cavazos dining facilities will operate during normal hours.

Drivers should use caution driving during freezing temperatures. In conditions where ice and snow are possible, take it slow—slower speed, slower acceleration, slower steering, and slower braking. Drivers should be extra cautious on overpasses as they can freeze first.
