FORT CAVAZOS, Texas — Families wishing to visit loved ones laid to rest in cemeteries located within Fort Cavazos’ live-fire training areas may do so between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. May 25 during Memorial Day weekend.
Visitors may access the cemeteries during this time without prior area access clearance. However, a vehicle pass is required for anyone entering the installation through manned vehicle control points (gates). Non-DoD ID cardholders must stop at the Marvin Leath Visitor Center located at 69004 T.J. Mills Blvd. to obtain a pass before entering the installation.
Range operations will have guides available to assist families and ensure all visitors are safely clear of live-fire training zones throughout the day. Directional signs will be posted along key roads, including East Range Road, Hubbard Road, West Range Road, and Owl Creek Road.
