FORT CAVAZOS, Texas – Fort Cavazos will host a ribbon cutting ceremony at 10 a.m. March 2 for the Cavazos Connector transportation service here.
The Cavazos Connector is currently testing a circulator route and Micro-Transit Zone 1 before the full launch on March 2, here at the Great Place.
The Cavazos Connector consists of two systems, the Micro Transit System that consists of five zones which function similarly to popular rideshare applications and the Circulator Route which consists of 28 stops. These stops consist of medical facilities, gyms, dining facilities, and Exchange locations.
The Micro Transit zone for the barracks connects to the Circulator Route by way of the Copeland Center. There is also an app to book a trip to the Copeland Center and then riders can catch a bus to their destination. The Circulator Route runs once every twenty minutes to reduce wait times.
Media wishing to attend the ribbon cutting ceremony, should call (254) 289-2317 by 3 p.m. Feb. 29. Media must meet public affairs for escort to the ceremony no later than 9 a.m. March 2 in the south-side parking lot of the Fort Cavazos Marvin Leath Visitors Center on T.J. Mills Blvd.
