Ft. Hood, TX — 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division Troopers along with Col. Jon W. Meredith, 1ABCT commander, return to Fort Hood (Now designated Fort Cavazos) on Aug 14. This final flight marks the Brigade’s completion of a 9-month rotation in Europe in support of Atlantic Resolve.

A ceremony will be held on Cooper Field of the 1st Cavalry Division Headquarters Aug 14 at 9:30 p.m. The new IRONHORSE 6, Col. Jon W. Meredith will be available for comments following the ceremony to discuss the rotation and the future of the Brigade.

A public affairs representative will meet media at the south parking lot of the Marvin Leath Visitor’s Center located on T.J. mills Blvd. at 9 p.m. Aug 14 to escort to the event. The Ceremony time is subject to change due to flight arrival status.
