FORT HOOD (Now designated Fort Cavazos), Texas – FedEx Freight will deliver 275 real Christmas trees to military families Dec. 8 at Hood Stadium here as part of their Trees for Troops program.
Soldiers who are E-4 and below can pick up one tree for their family between 9 a.m. – noon. Soldiers who are E-5 and above can pick up their tree between 1-4 p.m. Trees are given out on a first-come first-serve basis.
Trees for Troops brings together FedEx, the Christmas SPIRIT Foundation and tree farmers across America to deliver real Christmas trees to service members stationed across the U.S. and overseas. Since the Trees for Troops program launched in 2005, FedEx has shipped more than 176,000 real Christmas trees to service members and their families—covering every branch of the military at close to 65 bases in 17 countries.
