FORT HOOD (Now designated Fort Cavazos), Texas — Fort Hood (Now designated Fort Cavazos) officials released the name of the Soldier who was found unresponsive Jan. 12 in his barracks room, here.
Spc. Zackary Phillip Partin, 24, whose home of record is Oakwood, Illinois , entered active-duty military service in November 2012 as a radio operator. He was assigned to Headquarters Battalion, 1st Sustainment Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood (Now designated Fort Cavazos), Texas, since May 2016.
Partin’s awards and decorations include the Army Achievement Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal and the Army Service Ribbon.
Circumstances surrounding this incident are currently under investigation by U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Command.
