Staff Sgt. Jon Michael Bullard
FORT HOOD (Now designated Fort Cavazos), Texas — Fort Hood (Now designated Fort Cavazos) officials have released the name of a Soldier who was found unresponsive May 13 at his off-post residence in Belton, Texas. He was transported to Baylor Scott and White Hospital, Temple, Texas where he was pronounced deceased May 14.
Staff Sgt. Jon Michael Bullard, 40, whose home of record is listed as Humble, Texas, entered active-duty service in April 1999 as a fire support specialist. He was assigned to 82nd Field Artillery Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood (Now designated Fort Cavazos), Texas, since April 2015.
Bullard deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom from December 2005 to November 2006, December 2007 to February 2009 and in support of Operation New Dawn from March 2010 to March 2011.
Bullard’s awards and decorations include four Army Commendation Medals, eleven Army Achievement Medals, six Army Good Conduct Medals, National Defense Service Medal, four Iraq Campaign Medals with Campaign Star, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Korea Defense Service Medal, Noncommissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, NATO Medal, Combat Action Badge and Driver’s and Mechanic Badge.
