FORT HOOD (Now designated Fort Cavazos), Texas—Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center is hosting its annual Medical Readiness Musculoskeletal Summit Sept. 13-14.
All Fort Hood (Now designated Fort Cavazos) credentialed medical personnel who treat or refer patients with musculoskeletal injuries are invited to attend the two-day summit, which will be held at the Phantom Warrior Center from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The summit’s focus is on musculoskeletal rehabilitation and will include best practices and discussions ranging from nutrition, weight and pain management to chiropractic care and physical and occupational therapy. Attendees will earn Continuing Medical Education (CME) and Continuing Nursing Education (CNE) credits.
Attendees also will have an opportunity to learn more about CRDAMC’s SPARTA Clinic (Soldier Peak Performance and Advanced Reconditioning for the Tactical Athlete.) SPARTA is a FORSCOM and MEDCOM collaborative focused on improving Soldier readiness through prompt initial evaluation and rehabilitation of those who suffer musculoskeletal injuries.
