FORT CAVAZOS, Texas – The pharmacies associated with Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center are in the process of upgrading their filling and verifying prescription operations from ScriptPro to the NEXiA system. Please expect extended waiting times as our pharmacy staff continues to train and adjust to the new system. These changes will affect the main hospital, Clear Creek PX, as well as the Soldier Centered and Community Based Medical Homes.
The Clear Creek PX pharmacy will be closed this upcoming weekend, 13 April, to install equipment and will open its doors on 15 April with the NEXiA system.
Also on 15 April, the Community Based Medical Homes in Copperas Cove, Killeen, and Harker Heights will start using the new system, and on 29 April, our Thomas Moore, Monroe, Bennett, Russell Collier, West Killeen, and TMC14 Soldier Centered pharmacies will begin.
The new system has been in place at the main hospital, pediatric, and emergency department pharmacies since 25 March. Waiting times have decreased since then as our pharmacy staff has become familiar with the new system but are not back to normal.
