FORT HOOD (Now designated Fort Cavazos), Texas – Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center (CRDAMC) is a recipient of the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences (USUHS) 2017 Excellence in Teaching Award. During ceremonies held Feb. 28 at the Fort Hood (Now designated Fort Cavazos) hospital, Col. David R. Gibson, CRDAMC commander, accepted the award from Brig. Gen. Chuck Potter (Ret., USAF), assistant vice president for USUHS university programs. CRDAMC also received recognition from the Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine from foundation president, Maj. Gen. Joseph Caravalho (USA, Ret.).
