FORT HOOD (Now designated Fort Cavazos), Texas – Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center and its primary care clinics will be closed in observance of federal and training holidays on Friday, Dec. 23; Monday, Dec. 26; Dec. 30 and Jan. 2, 2017.
Primary Care, Internal Medicine, and Pediatric Clinics
Family Medicine Residency Clinic (FMRC) will operate a consolidated clinic for beneficiaries requiring primary care appointments on Dec. 23 and 30.
Internal Medicine and Pediatrics will be open Dec. 23 and 30 for patients assigned to those clinics.
Darnall and all its clinics will resume normal operating hours on Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2017.
The hospital remains open daily for emergency services, inpatient care, and labor and delivery services. Beneficiaries with emergency concerns should report to the Emergency Department.
Pharmacies
The Main Hospital Pharmacy will be closed on Dec. 26 and Jan. 2, 2017.
All primary care clinic pharmacies will be closed Dec. 23, Dec 26, Dec. 30, and Jan. 2, 2017.
The Clear Creek Pharmacy will be open Monday – Saturday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Patient Appointing Service
Patient Appointing Service (PAS) will not be available Dec. 26 and Jan. 2, 2017. Patients can contact 1-800-TRICARE (the nurse advice line) for assistance with scheduling appointments. Beneficiaries may also visit www.tricareonline.com to access appointments, prescription refill, Blue Button, and other health information.
The PAS will resume normal hours of operation Jan. 3, 2017.
Nurse Advice Line
The Nurse Advice Line is available 24 hours a day to provide information on urgent health issues, guidance for non-emergency situations, and instructions for self-care for minor injuries and illnesses and assistance with scheduling appointments. Tricare beneficiaries may speak to a registered nurse on the nurse advice line by calling 1-800- TRICARE (874-2273) Option 1.
