FORT HOOD (Now designated Fort Cavazos), Texas — Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center leaders have postponed the community flu-shot event planned for Saturday, Dec. 12.

Beneficiaries over age 3 who want to get the vaccine before it is available at the medical treatment facility may use the TRICARE network.  TRICARE participating network pharmacies offer the flu vaccine at no cost.  Beneficiaries are encouraged to call the network provider of their choice to confirm they are network providers, and are offering the vaccine.

Flu vaccines for children under 3 are available at CRDAMC medical clinics in limited quantities.  Parents with children under 3 years of age should contact their child’s primary care provider to confirm availability and schedule an appointment.

Beneficiaries that use a TRICARE non-network pharmacy may have to pay out-of-pocket expenses and file a claim from reimbursement.  To find a participating network pharmacy, visit https://militaryrx.ecpress-scripts.com/fin-pharmacy or call 1-877-363-1303.
