FORT CAVAZOS, Texas – Fort Cavazos officials regret to inform the community that the Automated Installation Entry System used to automate visitor passes in the visitors’ center is currently experiencing technical difficulties, resulting in the inability to process some automated visitor’s passes used to enter the installation.
As a result, drivers should anticipate minor delays when entering the installation until the system is back online. The Directorate of Emergency Services is still able to vet visitors at the visitors’ center but will only be able to issue one-time entry passes. They will not be able to issue passes through the AIE Terminals or Kiosks.
This outage will cause delays at our visitors’ center and commercial cargo delivery gate during peak hours. Visitors with a DoD ID card or existing AIE Pass will be able to enter Fort Cavazos as normal via manual ID card checks performed by our security guard force. Those visitors utilizing their driver’s license as their pass will need to go to the visitors’ center located adjacent to the Bernie Beck Gate to be vetted and receive an entry pass.
At this time, we are unable to provide a definitive timeline for when the system will be restored to full functionality. While we understand the inconvenience this may cause, Fort Cavazos remains committed to ensuring the safety and security of all personnel and visitors to the installation.
We appreciate your patience and cooperation during this time. In the meantime, individuals requiring access to Fort Cavazos are advised to follow the instructions provided by security guard force and adhere to any additional security measures that may be in place.
Updates regarding the status of the Automated Installation Entry System will be communicated through official Fort Cavazos channels, including the Fort Cavazos Media Center and social media platforms. Thank you for your understanding.
