FORT HOOD (Now designated Fort Cavazos), Texas — The Army & Air Force Exchange Service — the Department of Defense’s largest retailer — will cut the ribbon on a new cryotherapy center at Fort Hood (Now designated Fort Cavazos) at 11 a.m. Nov. 14 in the Fort Hood (Now designated Fort Cavazos) Exchange Shopping Center, Bldg. 4250, on Clear Creek Road here.
The center, operated by U.S. Cryotherapy, offers a variety of cold therapy services, including whole body cryotherapy, for the relief of muscle soreness, faster recovery and enhanced athletic performance. U.S. Cryotherapy does not use liquid nitrogen or any other hazardous chemicals in any of its services. This will be the first cryotherapy center on a military installation.
The Exchange is dedicated to the holistic wellness of service members and their families. The Fort Hood (Now designated Fort Cavazos) U.S. Cryotherapy center is the first of several planned Exchange cryotherapy centers in order to give Soldiers, Airmen and the military community diverse and modern ways to pursue wellness. The Exchange will open at least two more U.S. Cryotherapy centers over the course of the next year and has received requests for cryotherapy centers from command at several military installations.
