FORT HOOD (Now designated Fort Cavazos), TX — The 1st Cavalry Division’s 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team is scheduled to uncase its colors on Monday, Nov. 20 at 11 p.m. on Cooper Field here.
Brigade and battalion commanders will perform the honors signifying the brigade’s official return from Kuwait after their nine-month deployment.
More than 3,000 Greywolf Troopers have returned in the past weeks from a nine-month deployment to the Middle East in support of Operation Spartan Shield and Operation Inherent Resolve.
In total, Greywolf Soldiers deployed to eight different countries and conducted 12 different exercises with partner nations.
Greywolf Soldiers provided fire support and advise, train and assist support to Operation Inherent Resolve in the fight against ISIS.
